Masao Kikusawa
Born on 12 November 1961 in Ehime Prefecture.
Started practising Karate at Kyokushin-kaikan in 1984 and obtained 2-dan (black belt).
After retiring as an active fighter, he dedicated himself to the treatment of Kyokushin Karate fighters such as Kancho Shokei Matsui, Yoshihiro Tamura, Kenji Yamaki, Francisco Filho and Ryu Narushima.
His in-depth theoretical knowledge and dedication to his profession has earned him an excellent reputation.
After working for an orthopaedist (specialised in sports), an osteopath and in an acupuncture and moxibustion studio, he opend Shodo Oriental Therapy Studio.
He is studying various kinds of treatment based on the concept of martial arts.
Also, he established Shodo based on the motto The warmth of the palms (Tanagokoro) to all people to contribute to public well-being.

is the healing art created by Masao Kikusawa.
It is a sophisticated and gentle massage which is elevated to a stage of art.
As well as healing, its main purpose is to build up the spirit of caring, loving and respecting each other through learning the concept of Shodo to realise the peaceful world.
